I 'm Stuck on You!

The girls (especially McKenzie) are really into coloring. Aunt Macie gave them a really neat Princess coloring book that also had several pages of stickers in it. Well instead of using the stickers to enhance pictures or create pictures, the majority of the stickers end up as body art! Lovely creativity!

Journaling. . .Thinking out loud.

I am not a super avid blogger, as some of you know, but I am quickly becoming fascinated by it. I just realized why I am drawn to it . . . sometimes I just like to log onto my own page and read my own life, I like spending time there---my life looks so simple on the computer. Everything is neat and orderly, everything stays where I put it. The girls are dressed, hair done, clean, smiling--captured at their best--no one is fighting, crying, whining, sad, dramatic-- Each snapshot a bright moment. Music I enjoy is playing.

Reality. Not so simple. Busy. Unorganized. Everyone needs a piece of your time, attention, talents. NOTHING stays where you put it, at least not for very long. And the next day . . . I do it all again--run. But some days, I don't think I'll win the race, run. All day long--but it is not enough. But Mom, can't slow down, she is too many things, to too many people.

And then, we get to Sunday. The day of Rest. No. Just a different kind of running--so much responsibility. All of my Young Women. Can't let them down. Just breath, pray--hope God is listening today.

Simplify. Where? How? What can possibly be cut out? Have to do everything.

I really am alright. Just overwhelmed. I am sure, I am not alone--life was not meant to be easy. I think God is helping me grow-it hurts. I like being small and simple, but He needs me to be more. And I am trying.

Whitney too . . . .

Not to be out done by her sisters, Whitney quickly got her jacket and "pack-pack" and started posing for her picture too. She was sad when they both left her that morning. She just wants to be just like her big sisters!

The First Day of School

Sam and Kenz on their first day of School (I know this happened in August, but I just got the pictures down loaded). Sam was off to her first day of 1st Grade! And Kenz was off to her first day of Pre-school! We miss Sam, now that she is gone all day. She was our organizer--always gathering Kenz and Whit together to play something or other---always the leader, you know, telling them what to do . . . after she left Kenz and Whit were a little lost---not knowing what to do, because Sam wasn't there to "boss" them around. Kenz and Whit are adjusting and now play really nicely together (most of the time . . .) Kenzie is loving Mrs. Doggett (of course) --she is the best pre-school teacher ever! Kenzie is doing very well and is now interested in learning to write her name and other words (this is a first for her). We are glad that we are taking this year to get ready for Kindergarten!

The biggest Dragonfly Ever

The girls were playing under the deck, and ran in to tell me that there was a huge bug outside! I came out and saw seriously, the biggest dragonfly I have ever seen. It was like 4 inches long! The deck board that it is perched on is 2 inches wide and the floor boards are 4 inches. It was truly a beautiful bug.

I scream! You scream! We all Scream for . . .

Scotty and the girls eating ice-cream in the yard!
Me and the girls!
Attractive!
It just gets better and better . . .
Messy faces! All of which I love dearly!

Mommy Watch!

So this summer we were able to get a swing set for the girls. They have loved it! It is just a simple one from Wal-Mart, but you would think that we brought Disney Land to our backyard! The girls have spent so much time on it and have had so much fun! They love to hang and do tricks! So I always hear, "Mommy! Watch!" and I do. I am impressed by their strength and creativity with the things they come up with.
